Ok guys, we are onto our December Book Club sharing two books this month!!!!! I have always found the idea of fate and love at first sight very intriguing that’s why when I got the opportunity to read this book about just that, I was absolutely thrilled!!!!!

One Day In December begins (you guessed it) one day in December. Laurie who doesn’t believe in love at first sight is having a pretty average day when she sees a man outside her bus window. Their eyes meet and suddenly there is a mutual, instant connection. The man tries to get on Laurie’s bus but the doors close and it’s too late. Laurie then makes it her New Year’s Resolution to find the man and for a year looks in every bus stop and bar in London. After failing to find him, Laurie attends her best friend Sarah’s Christmas party where she is introduced to Sarah’s boyfriend Jack. Jack just so happens to be the man from the bus stop that “one day in December” of last year!

The story follows Laurie, Sarah and Jack for ten years and the author, Josie Silver, does an amazing job of making you feel like you really know them by seeing the characters change and experience friendship, heartbreak and missed opportunities over time. I liked that it was not just about the dynamic between Laurie and Jack but also between Laurie and Sarah who have a really strong friendship.

One Day In December is definitely a great heartwarming holiday romance to get you really into the spirit of the season. It really makes you think how just one missed moment or choice can forever change the direction of your life.

I believe in love at first sight. I met my boyfriend at a leadership camp Iin grade 12. On the first day I walked into the great hall room and directly in front of me was my boyfriend and we couldn’t stop looking at each other. We’ve been together since and it’s been almost 4 years!!

Isn’t that the best?!!!!! When you lock eyes and you just know… you can’t hide that instant connection. That’s what happened to us as well!!!

My husband and i were so fortunate John managed to deal with his investigation from the ideas he came across through your web site. It’s not at all simplistic to simply be making a gift of guidelines the others might have been trying to sell. And we realize we have got you to thank because of that. The type of illustrations you have made, the simple site menu, the friendships you can help foster – it’s mostly excellent, and it is letting our son and us reckon that that article is exciting, and that is exceptionally pressing. Thanks for the whole lot!
