My Fall Skincare Routine

This October has been an unusually nice one but my skin is still entering fall mode showing signs of dryness. I have changed up my skin care routine to meet my skin’s needs for the rest of fall and then soon to be winter. So today I’m sharing how I’m planning on maintaining this pregnancy glow well after baby arrives with a tried and true routine from La Biosthetique Canada! Of course a great cleanser is extremely important because well cleansed skin will be the base of everything.

Clair de Teint Sensitif is my go to from one of my favourite brands La Biosthetique Canada. This emulsion thoroughly removes make-up and any residue on skin while maintaining the skin’s delicate biological balance. I really love this cleanser because it doesn’t make my skin feel dry afterwards. If anything it becomes softer and looks more radiant. I also really like the pure oat, creamy, milk consistency better in the fall and winter from the lighter, cleansing mousse that I use in the spring and summer months.

The next step is one of the most important products I use called the Tonique Hydratant. It’s a multi-mineral cocktail of zinc, magnesium and copper that acts as an antioxidant, energizes my skin and restores it’s vitality. As if all that isn’t enough the Tonique Hydratant contains long-chain hyaluronic acid that your skin just soaks right up, especially this time of year and loves because it keeps it tight, healthy and even.

And a staple I like to use all year long is their hyaluronic acid which is basically like an extra shot of moisture for your skin and my secret to get that “glow” were always trying to find. La Biosthetique Canada has basically bottled up my “pregnancy glow” and now you can have it all year long!!! My skin just drinks it up this time of year and I always like to make sure I have this handy transitioning between seasons.

That’s not my only skin secret, when nothing seems to be cutting it, like if I’ve had a bad night (thanks to baby boy who has decided to make a home right on my bladder making me pee 17 times a night) I bring out the big guns and use these little lipids of pure anti-aging, hydration gold called La Capsule!! They make an ultra-hydrating and smooth base underneath makeup and create the highest level of balance for your skin when worn while you sleep. Your skin will look more firmer, more radiant and revitalized in no time… I’m serious, literally NO. TIME. It’s basically instant and you should probably just order it online right now! Here’s the link, now what are you waiting for?!?!

Also lately I have also been into making my own face masks and cleansers as well, which is a nice break from all things baby. Once I found out how easy it was to do, I have been experimenting with different fall scents and ingredients. One of my favourites is perfect for fall because it smells like pumpkin spice and is very nourishing for my skin as well as all natural.

RECIPE:

  • 2 tbsp ground oats
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • tiny pinch of nutmeg (it is quite strong so start out with very little)
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin puree  The pumpkin contains vitamin c and vitamin a which helps collagen production in the skin and that is extremely anti aging. Oats are really beneficial for skin because they gently exfoliate and help reduce dryness and redness.

This is a great option for those of you who tend to have more sensitive skin like myself. I love to add coconut oil to it as well because it helps moisturize even further and that is a must getting into fall!

This is the perfect time to really switch up and refresh your skin care routine to combat that drying cold air. There are so many variations with what you can make using ingredients you already have in your pantry for some fun diy face masks/cleansers. Experiment, have a girls night and happy fall!

Now that you know my secrets, why don’t you share one of yours!! Would love to hear from you in the comments below!!
