Why I Work with Dress for Success Vancouver

Hi everyone! As many of you know, I’m incredibly grateful to be a spokesperson and a Dress Circle Ambassador for Dress for Success Vancouver. This amazing organization EMPOWERS women to enter the workforce through providing professional attire. I love working with an organization whose goal is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Together we are breaking the glass ceiling for women everywhere!

Dress for Success Vancouver is an organization that is incredibly close to my heart. I was raised by an amazing single mom who supported my entire family on her own. She was the sole provider for our family so it warms my heart to be able to assist and empower other women who have also found themselves in her position. My mom has always been my #1 role model and I’m so excited to help other ladies find their independence and autonomy like she did.

Dress for Success Vancouver’s Annual IMPACT 360 Fundraiser Welcomes Spring is this coming Wednesday (on May 9th) at the Showroom in Kitsilano. The theme for this spring is FLOURISH, how fun?!

The fundraising focus for this year’s event is for DFSV’s Sponsor a Woman and the Professional Women’s Group programs. The goal is to sponsor 100 women for a year at a cost of $360 per woman, per year. As always, the event features a silent and live auction hosted by Fred Lee. Additionally, we’re serving an array of spirits, xoxo wines, beer from Driftwood Brewing, and delicious appetizers from Lazy Gourmet! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. There will also be numerous networking opportunities with over 300 of Vancouver’s most influential business leaders, sponsors, and community supporters... This event showcases some of our inspiring DFSV clients. They will be sharing their stories AND partaking in a luxury fashion show on the runway to Success – dressed by Turnabout Luxury Resale.

I was able to model some of the amazing pieces from our Instagram Takeover with Dress for Success Vancouver. Here are just a few of my MANY favourites. PS, I cannot BELIEVE how affordable these designer items are. My mind has been blown!

This amazing sunshine yellow dress is from For Love and Lemons, a high end L.A. based brand.

I can’t help but twirl in this beautiful Lena Hoschek dress. Turnabout Luxury Resale is offering this piece for $169.99. Lena Hoscheck designs are often sold for more than $700!

I feel so festive for spring in this Alice & Olivia floral number from Turnabout Luxury Resale. It definitely fits with a certain flourish theme. 😉 This piece is selling for only $139.99!

This Rebecca Taylor dress is so cute for work or play! I felt so chic and classy when I was wearing it. This dress is being sold for only $69.99!

This designer dress by Temperley London has the most intricate detailing. I love that I can FEEL the quality of this piece. Pieces from this designer range from $500 – $5000! This dress is an amazing $189.99. <3
